For students who began in academic years 2013-14 and 2014-2015:
2nd year core: HUFA and SBS and HASS lists
Total = 24 Credits plus 3 units of co-curricular activity
Computer Engineers using catalog years 2005-06 through 2012-13 take one of the following in HASS: (includes technology topics)
Modern Language Option for UN1025 - Global Issues: Students may use one upper level language course (HU3xxx) in place of UN1025.
Modern Language Option for UN1002 – World Cultures: Prior to fall 2013- Students may take two semesters of language plus UN 1003(Spring) in place of UN 1002.
HASS Elective Rules:
- At least 6 credits of HASS electives must be level 3000 or higher for all students, including transfer students.
- No more than 3 credits may be taken from the HASS Restricted List
- No more than 3 credits may be taken from the Creative Endeavors List and applied to general education.
- No more than 3 credits may be taken from the Supplemental List and applied to general education.
HASS prior to fall 2013: 15 credits HASS required; same rules.
Core prior to fall 2013: UN1001(or HUFA), UN1002(or UN1025), UN2001(or UN1015) & UN2002(or SBS).
